Burma (Myanmar) is a hard country to visit--something on the scale of India, but for different reasons.  There is the erratic infrastructure:  hopelessly pot-holed roads, unreliable electrical system, painfully slow internet connections.  There are the travel restrictions, largely caused by ongoing conflicts involving the indigenous peoples.

But the people.  Oh yes, the people.  They make it worth the minor travails.
