It's not your ordinary pagoda

it's virtually a city of gold

a 325-foot gilded stupa, spawning a forest of smaller stupas

stupa:  a dome-shaped structure erected as a Buddhist shrine

surrounded on all sides by spacious walkways

branching off into a seemingly endless array of rooms,

Buddhas,

shrines,

dramatic works of art,

and simple displays of elegance,

as well as providing space for people to socialize,

pray,

and take care of personal needs
